:bulletblack: Personality:

Dryden is a cocky person that can always be seen with a smirk on his face. He is very secure in his own skills and isn’t above bragging about them, or even using them as a threat to get out of a fight. However regardless of his cocky exterior Dryden is a very kind person with a strong sense of justice. He has seen the worst in the world and decided that instead of moping around and being one of the crowd, shunning and hating others, he will be different. He will be better than them, accepting how other people are, no matter how weird or strange they may be, helping others with no other intent than to help. In that regard when he hears someone’s in trouble the Air Feral is rather selfless in his attempts to help said person, even though the situation may sound fishy or even a trap, Dryden will go regardless.

:bulletwhite: History:

Dryden was part of a clan of crows, these air-ferals were still set in the old ways, tradition was a deeply rooted part of their existence, from a young age Dryden has learned to respect and fear nature. For as much as they live of the land, they knew that the land would be able to destroy them if it so wishes. The clan of Dryden were a clan of hunters, located in a small village near a mountain. They traded with cities for their wild game and leather skins in return for items that they could not make for themselves. However even though they do trade, in secret his clan despises the other races of the world and feel like they were superior towards them.

The young Dryden however did not share these thoughts, he was always a trouble maker and sneaked out to go towards the city, to see the sighs in the woods and to interact with many other people, this made many parents in his clan to tell their children to stay clear of Dryden, infact the only friend the young air feral had was a young girl Mika, the daughter of the chief and even that was more childlike stubbornness against her father than real friendship. However the young boy cherished this friendship and tried his best not to be a burden to his friend, afterall in a couple of years this village would be under her control.

As such Dryden spend much of his time honing his skills with the bow and his body. The adults always gave him the dirtier, heavy work as punishment for his behavior but Dryden did not mind, this atleast helped him train his body. His skill of the bow was self taught, he mimicked the movements of the other adult hunters, once every while a hunter would take pity on him and properly teach him though this did not happen a lot.

As such time went on and because of an illness Mika became the chief of the village, at the young age of 20, Dryden was fully supportive of his friend but he did notice that the girl seemed very nervous, there has been rumours that a clan of bandits has settled themselves on the mountain nearby. Dryden has no doubt that this fact, combined with the responsibility of leading her people, Mika was close to breaking down. As such the air feral took it upon himself to serve her to the best of his abilities. All seemed well for a year however one night disaster struck, the bandits came down the mountain and pillaged and burned his village. Luckily the majority of the village was deserted, most of the males were out hunting and the woman and children were out on a trip to the cities for their trading. In the middle of the town the bandits wrote a bloody note: “You’ve didn’t give us our food and weapons, so our agreement is off. We will come back.”

This note brought great confusion within the clan and many fingers started pointing at one another. Dryden had a gut feeling and confronted Mika about it. Almost in tears the girl confessed towards her friend that she made a deal with the bandits, in exchange for weapons and game every month the bandits would leave their village alone, however this month she was too preoccupied and forgot. Dryden soothed the girl and quickly a plan formed into his mind.

The next morning he confessed to everyone that he was the one that made the agreement with the bandits, to Mika’s shock. The elders and adults were outraged and demanded that the young man would be banished from their village, Mika was hesitant but finally resented. On the final night of the stay she asked Dryden why he took the blame. For Dryden the answer was simple. “You are loved by our people, me? I’m just an outcast no matter how much I try. Don’t do dumb stuff like this in the future okay? I won’t be here anymore to help you out..But, trust in ou…your people. I’m sure they won’t let you down.”

With that said Dryden left after being dubbed Irewing, wrath in wings by the elders as a mocking insult. Dryden however took the name as his last one, a memento to his life in the village.

Throughout the years the air feral explored the land and learned more about the world, especially about magic. The air feral was always ready to start an adventure or quest and would always accept one from the people he met, in exchange he asked for knowledge regarding certain things or just a meal. This is how he came to make a contract with his Wind Sprite summon Selphie. A travelling mage needed his help and in return explained to him the school of summoning, suffice to say the air feral was instantly smitten.

In his travels he heard word of a city, Perscelot city. The rumour mill piqued his interest and the air feral set off to start a new journey, not caring about what the future might bring him.

:bulletblack: Likes:

-Shiny things
-Exploring and seeing new things
-The moon
-Food and booze, especially with other people

:bulletwhite: Dislikes:

-Not being able to fly
-People plucking his feathers
-Racism
-Criminals
-Liars
-People wasting food

:bulletblack: Extra info:

-Because of his journey Dryden is something of a hunter. He knows a little bit of skinning and preparing wild game though he prefers to hunt animals and take the slain game towards a professional chef.

-Dryden feels that food is the best way to bond over someone, if he meets someone and he feels like they should become friends the air feral will always suggest getting something to eat together.

-Selphie is a good friend of Dryden even though their contract together hasn’t been for incredibly long, the air feral enjoys the child like mentality of the sprite, though the summon does sometimes get on his nerves since she always wants to take one of his feathers as a memento to the spirit plane.

-Dryden has little to no patience with bandits and criminals, on the other hand he does not mind thieves that much. In his mind the difference between a proper thief and a criminal is intent. Bandits will loot and plunder and destroy, a real thief’s presence will not be felt until after the act is done. In that regard Dryden has a begrudging amount of respect for proper thieves.

:bulletblack: Feats:
-- Durable: You can resist physical strain more than most. Run for long distances, resist more damage. Your bones are harder than the common lad.
-- Keen Sense: sight: Using his developed sense of sight: Dryden can detect, track or get information from his environment or even detect enemies or other characters.

:bulletwhite: Techniques/Spells:

:bulletblue:Murder of Crows: Using a surge of energy going through his body, he creates a harsh wind by flapping his wings. The gust of wind is then launched at the target to blow them away or their projectile attacks. This move is not always successful. The success depends on the skill of his opponent, regarding projectiles or their body mass. The duration of Murder of Crows is rather short but can be extended in exchange for more adrenaline(The initial attack costs 5 points of adrenaline, to continue the attack it will cost 2 points of adrenaline per minute.)

:bulletblue:Hawk’s talons: Dryden locks his eyes with the target and with his skill in archery, he pulls back his bow extra long before releasing an arrow that pierces through an opponent. This arrow can pierce through cloth and normal skin but will be blocked by any kind of light armour. (This uses 5 adrenaline points.)

:bulletred:Blessing of the hunt: Dryden calls upon the wind around him to create an arrow made of razor-like wind. This arrow is capable of homing into a target. Instead of a piercing wound, this creates a wound similar to wounds made by knives, however these cuts are small and shallow. (This uses 5 mana points)

:bulletred:Summoning: Wind Sprite: Dryden prepares a minor summoning circle and offers his mana along with a drop of blood as stated in the contract with his summon. He uses this to call the Wind Sprite Sephie on this plane. Sephie is a small creature that consists out of pure green wind, the wind forms her to looks like a small fairy. Sephie is able to create small gusts of wind and feel the state of the wind. Using her ability she can tell Dryden what the weather will be for example. Selphie can also use this to feel presences nearby and tell Dryden how many things are coming towards him. However Selphie is still young and can't differ between hostile presences and friendly presences at all, which makes her somewhat useless in some settings but incredibly useful in others.(This uses 5 Mana to summon Selphie)
